The product
Usporedi Cijene is an in-house product of Tsunami Digital. It is Croatia's largest grocery price comparison platform, made for everyday shoppers who want to know where their basket costs less. It is meant for a quick check before a weekly shop, not for hours of research. We designed and built it ourselves, and we run it as our own product, including the automated data collection behind every price on the site.
The platform brings together prices from more than 20 retail chains and puts them side by side. Instead of visiting several shops or flipping through catalogues, shoppers search for a product and see where it is cheapest before they leave the house. Prices from all chains are shown in the same way, so a comparison takes seconds and the savings on everyday products are easy to see.
The problem
Grocery prices differ from chain to chain and change often, and each chain publishes them in its own place and format. Comparing them by hand is not realistic for anyone doing a weekly shop. Shoppers needed one place where the prices are already collected and comparable.
