Your web shop, maintained and upgraded
We maintain and upgrade web shops that already exist - speeding them up, fixing the checkout, adding features and taking over shops another agency built - then look after them month by month.
Overview
Most web shops do not need to be rebuilt. They need someone who knows the code, applies updates before they break something, finds out why the checkout loses customers on mobile, and adds the feature sales has been asking about for a year. We take over existing shops on WooCommerce, Shopify or custom code, start with an audit of the code, plugins, hosting and access, fix what is risky, and then keep improving the shop step by step.
Sometimes the honest answer is that the shop has reached the end of its platform: every update breaks a plugin, the theme cannot be changed without a developer, or the costs keep rising. Then we plan a move to a better-fitting platform while keeping your products, customers, order history and search rankings. And if your shop simply runs well and only needs updates once a month, we will tell you that too, so you do not pay for development you do not need.
Signs you need it
- The agency that built the shop no longer answers, or every small change takes weeks and a new quote.
- Nobody has dared to update the platform or plugins for months, because the last update broke something.
- The shop is slow on mobile, and customers leave at checkout.
- You have a list of features that never get built, from filters and bundles to customer accounts.
- You are not sure who holds the admin, hosting and domain passwords.
What web shop maintenance and upgrades include
06- 01
Takeover and audit
We collect access, review the code, plugins, hosting and backups, and give you a written list of risks in order of urgency.
- 02
Updates and security
Platform, theme and plugin updates tested on a staging copy first, with backups and monitoring so a broken update never reaches customers.
- 03
Speed and checkout
Faster pages on mobile, fewer steps to pay and clearer errors, measured on real orders before and after each change.
- 04
New features
Filters, product bundles, customer accounts, B2B prices, discounts or a new payment method, built into the shop you already have.
- 05
Accessibility and SEO fixes
Keyboard and screen-reader problems, structured product data and technical SEO errors, fixed without losing the rankings you have.
- 06
Re-platforming when needed
A planned move to another platform or to custom code, carrying over products, customers, orders, URLs and redirects.
How we work
-
Take over access
First we make sure the shop, hosting, domain and code are in your name, then take a full backup before anything changes.
-
Audit and plan
Within the audit you get a written list of risks and improvements, ordered by impact on sales, with a fixed price for the first block of work.
-
Fix, then improve
We fix the urgent risks first, then work through speed, checkout and features in small releases you can measure.
-
Your development team
From then on we are your shop's development team on a monthly basis: updates, monitoring and a steady flow of improvements, without a new tender each time.
No project price list. A fixed price before we start.
Every project is different, so the price depends on what you need and how much of it. The first call is free of charge, and you always get a fixed price in writing before any work starts - no surprises.

Questions
-
01 Can you take over a web shop built by another agency?
Yes, that is a common starting point. We need admin and hosting access, the code repository if there is one, and the domain account. We start with an audit, tell you what is risky and what works, and take over updates and development without rebuilding what already sells.
-
02 Should we upgrade the current shop or build a new one?
Upgrade if the platform still fits and the problems are speed, checkout or missing features. Move to a new platform if every update breaks something, if the code cannot be maintained, or if running costs keep rising. The audit gives you that answer in writing, with the reasons.
-
03 Will we lose our Google rankings if we change platform?
Not if the move is planned. We keep or redirect every product and category URL, carry over titles, descriptions and structured data, and check Search Console after launch. A short dip can happen, but a shop that keeps its URLs and content usually recovers quickly.
-
04 Does our web shop have to meet accessibility rules?
Since 28 June 2025, the European Accessibility Act has applied to e-commerce services sold to consumers in the EU, with an exemption for microenterprises providing services. If your shop is covered, we audit it and fix the problems as part of the upgrade work, rather than as a separate project.
-
05 How much does web shop maintenance cost?
It depends on the platform, the number of plugins and custom features, and how much new development you want each month. We do not publish a price list. The first call is free, and the monthly scope and price are agreed in writing before work starts.
Is your web shop stuck?
Tell us which platform it runs on and what is not working. The first call is free, and the price is agreed in writing before work starts.
Completely free. No commitments.
