Hire developers for your team.

Hiring developers from us means one or more Tsunami Digital developers from Zagreb work in your team, in your tools and on your priorities - hourly at €40-60 excl. VAT or as a full monthly engagement. You lead the work; we provide the people and stand behind the quality of their work.

Overview

Sometimes the problem is not what to build but who will build it. A deadline is close and the team is too small, a developer has left, or a project needs a skill you do not need permanently. Our developers join your team: they work in your repository, take tasks from your board, attend your meetings and follow your rules for code and releases.

This model fits when someone on your side can set priorities and review the work - a technical lead, a product owner or a founder who knows the product. If nobody can, a monthly partnership is the better fit, because there we lead the development ourselves. And for a permanent need, hiring your own developer may pay off in the long run; we will say so when it does.

When it fits

What hiring our developers includes

06
  1. 01

    Web and backend development

Web applications, APIs and the server side, in the stack your project already uses where it is a sensible one.

    Mobile applications

iOS and Android development, native or cross-platform, alongside your existing team.

  3. 03

    Automation and AI

Automations of business processes and AI features built into the product your team is developing.

  5. 05

    Code takeover and documentation

Getting to know an unfamiliar codebase quickly, documenting it and reducing the risk of one person knowing everything.

  6. 06

    Code review and technical advice

Reviews, architecture decisions and a second opinion for teams without a senior developer.

How it starts

  1. Call about the need

What you are building, which skills you lack, how long you need people and how your team works.

  2. Proposal

Who would join your team, their experience, the hourly rate within €40-60 and the expected number of hours - in writing.

  3. Onboarding

Access, an introduction to the code and a first smaller task, so you see quickly whether the collaboration works.

  4. Work and monthly review

Daily work in your process, with a monthly breakdown of hours and a review of whether the scope should change.

Hourly rate

€40-60 per hour. No surprises on the invoice.

Hourly work and developers in your team are billed at €40-60 per hour (excluding VAT), depending on the kind of work and the experience it needs. Before we start, we agree the rate and an estimate of hours in writing, and every month you get a clear breakdown of what was done.

Questions

08 Q
  1. 01 How much does it cost to hire a developer?

Hiring a developer from us costs €40-60 per hour excluding VAT, depending on experience and the kind of work, or it is agreed as a full monthly engagement. The exact rate and an estimate of hours are agreed in writing before work starts, and every month you get a breakdown of the hours worked.

  2. 02 Is it better to hire a developer from you or employ one?

It depends on how long you need one. For a permanent need, employing your own developer usually pays off in the long run. For a close deadline, cover for a colleague who left or a skill you need for a few months, hiring from us is faster and less binding: you pay for the hours worked or the agreed month, with no recruitment.

  3. 03 How is hiring developers different from a monthly partnership?

When you hire developers, you lead the work and set the priorities; we provide the people. In a monthly partnership we lead the development ourselves, from monitoring and updates to the roadmap. Hiring suits companies with a technical lead; the partnership suits companies without developers of their own.

  4. 04 Is there a minimum engagement?

For developers in your team we usually agree at least one month, so the time spent getting to know your code pays off. Smaller one-off jobs are better done as hourly work.

  5. 05 Do your developers work in our tools?

Yes: your repository, task board, chat and meetings. They follow your rules for code review, testing and releases, so the work looks like the rest of your team's.

  6. 06 Who owns the code they write?

You do, once the work is paid for. The code is written straight into your repositories, and we do not keep copies or build in dependencies on us.

  7. 07 What if a developer is not the right fit?

Tell us early and we will replace them or change the scope. That is why the first task is small - so both sides find out quickly whether it works.

  8. 08 Do you work with agencies, under their brand?

Yes. Agencies can hire our developers for client projects, and we can work under the agency's name. Terms and confidentiality are agreed in writing up front.
