Manufacturing software from order to dispatch

We build custom manufacturing software for small and mid-sized producers - digital work orders, production planning and costing for the parts your ERP does not handle the way you actually work.

Overview

Most manufacturers have an ERP that handles stock, purchasing and accounting well. What happens on the shop floor - which order is on which machine, how many pieces are done, how much scrap there is and why a delivery is late - often still runs on paper work orders, a whiteboard in the hall and the production manager's spreadsheet. We build software for that part: digital work orders on a tablet next to the machine, a production plan that shows real capacity, batch traceability, and costing for made-to-order products.

If you produce a standard range in large runs, a decent manufacturing ERP is often enough - use its production module fully first, and that is what we will recommend. Custom software pays off for made-to-order and small-batch production, for products with many variants, when every quote is a fresh calculation, or when the ERP's production module exists but nobody on the floor uses it.

Where it hurts

What we build for manufacturers

06
  1. 01

    Digital work orders

The order on a tablet or terminal at the machine: drawing, instructions, start and end of each operation, quantities and scrap, entered where the work happens.

  2. 02

    Production planning

Orders by machine and work centre with real load, showing what will slip if you squeeze in a rush order.

  3. 03

    Costing and quotes

Prices for made-to-order products calculated from materials, operations and time using your rules, so more than one person can prepare a quote.

  4. 04

    Batch traceability

Links between a finished batch, incoming material, machine and shift, so a complaint does not mean digging through paper.

  5. 05

    Quality checks

Checklists and measurements per operation, with photos and a record of who checked what, instead of paper forms.

  6. 06

    Order status for customers

Customers see how far their order has progressed, without calling a sales rep who then calls the floor.

How we work together

  1. Follow one order

We follow a single order from receipt to dispatch and note every place where data is re-typed or waits.

  2. One line first

The first version goes to one line or department, with the people who work there, and only then to the rest of the plant.

  3. Your ERP stays

Item codes, bills of materials and stock stay in the system you already use; our software covers the floor and what the ERP does not do your way.

  4. Your development team

After launch we stay on monthly: maintenance, support for the floor, and updates when you add a product, a machine or a shift.

Pricing

No project price list. A fixed price before we start.

Every project is different, so the price depends on what you need and how much of it. The first call is free of charge, and you always get a fixed price in writing before any work starts - no surprises.

Questions

05 Q
  1. 01 Do we need a manufacturing ERP or custom software?

Usually neither a new manufacturing ERP nor everything built custom. The ERP keeps accounts, stock and purchasing, and it tends to do that well. We build custom software for the part it does not cover the way you work - the floor, planning or costing - so you do not have to replace a system that works.

  2. 02 What is a MES and do we need one?

A MES (manufacturing execution system) tracks production as it happens on the floor: orders, operations, quantities and downtime. Large companies buy ready-made MES products; a smaller manufacturer usually needs only part of that - digital work orders and a status overview - built around its own machines and workflow.

  3. 03 Do you connect to our machines?

We do not supply hardware or sensors - we build software. If your machines already report their data, the software can show it alongside the orders; if not, operators enter it on a tablet at the machine, which is enough for most smaller plants.

  4. 04 Will people on the floor actually use it?

If entering data is faster than paper, they will. So we design screens for the floor - big buttons, few fields, barcode scanning where possible - and test them with machine operators before rollout.

  5. 05 How much does custom manufacturing software cost?

The price depends on scope - how many lines, operations and users the software covers, and whether you need work orders only or also planning, costing and traceability. That is why we do not publish a price list. The first call is free, and the price is agreed in writing before work starts.
